What is Jeevan Pramaan (DLC)?
The Jeevan Pramaan certificate is a digital document used to confirm that a pensioner is still alive. It is required every year to continue receiving the pension. Earlier, people had to visit the bank or pension office to get this certificate. But now the government has made it available online in digital form. With this, pensioners can easily create their Digital Life Certificate from home using their mobile phone or computer.
Where to get your life certificate?
Now, getting a Digital Life Certificate has become much easier. You can obtain it from various Jeevan Pramaan centers, CSC centers, banks, and government office, or you can generate it yourself on any PC or Mobile Phone using the Jeevan Pramaan application.
How to check Jeevan Pramaan Status?
To check the status of your Digital Life Certificate, you need to download the certificate from the https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/ website. After downloading it, you will be able to see whether your certificate has been accepted or not.
Jeevan Pramaan Registration Process
The Jeevan Pramaan app uses an Aadhaar-based biometric system. After successful verification, a Digital Life Certificate is generated and stored in the Life Certificate Repository. The pension-disbursing agency can then access it online and process the pension further.
Certificate Generation: You can make your life certificate in two ways.
1. Through the official website/Mobile Application.
2. Or by visiting your nearest Jeevan Pramaan Centre.
At the time of Jeevan Pramaan Patra registration, you have to provide the following documents:
- Name of the pensioner
- Aadhaar number
- Pension Payment Order (PPO) Number/Pension Account Number
- Bank details
- Name of Pension Sanctioning Authority (जिस विभाग ने पेंशन मंजूर की है।)
- Name of Pension Disbursing Authority (जो पेंशन खाते में भेजता है, जैसे बैंक/डाकघर)
- Biometrics (Fingerprints & Iris)
- Email id
- Aadhaar Link Mobile Number
Aadhaar Authentication: Verify your identity by providing your Aadhaar-linked biometric details, such as a fingerprint or iris scan.
Life Certificate: After successful authentication, you will receive an SMS on your mobile number containing your Jeevan Pramaan Certificate ID.
Access your Certificate: After that, visit the Jeevan Pramaan portal again and enter your Jeevan Pramaan ID and OTP. You can then download your Life Certificate in PDF format.
Pension Disbursing Agency: Finally, the pension-disbursing agency visits the Jeevan Pramaan portal to download and verify your Life Certificate.
Jeevan Pramaan Certificate Download Process
If you want to download your jeevan pramaan certificate, follow the easy steps given below:
- First of all, go to the official website https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/.
- Now go to the top menu and click on the Pensioner Login option.
- Now enter your Pramaan ID (which you received at the time of making the certificate).
- Enter the captcha code displayed on the screen correctly.
- After filling the captcha and proof ID correctly, click on the Generate OTP button given below.
- A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- By entering the OTP and signing in, you can download your life certificate in PDF format.
How to download Jeevan Pranam App?
To download the Jeevan Pramaan app on your mobile or computer, follow the steps given below:
- First of all, open Play Store or App Store on your mobile.
- First, you search by typing AadhaarFaceRd and install this app.
- After this, you have to download the Jeevan Pramaan app.
- After installing both of these mobile applications, you can complete the process of generating your jeevan pramaan.
- To download the Jeevan Pramaan client software for your computer/PC, go to the Download section on the official Jeevan Pramaan website.
- Enter your email id and enter the captcha code to get the download link, then click on the I Agree to Download button.
- After some time, you will receive the download link of the app in your Email ID.
- Click on the link and install the app.
Note: You do not need a biometric device for the Jeevan Pramaan Android/iOS app.

Follow the steps given below to find your nearest Jeevan Pramaan Centre.
- Open the official website of Jeevan Pramaan https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/ on your mobile.
- Now go to the menu and click on Locate a Centre.
- Now select Location Type, State and District, as per your location.
- A list of all the nearest Jeevan Pramaan centres will open in front of you, where you can get your Jeevan Pramaan certificate made.
